Terms and Conditions - by making payment you have agreed to these terms and conditions

Goods for sale

  • All crafts and artwork must be your own original creations - no copyright items should be offered for sale - you will be asked to remove any items which infringe copyright as the organisers can be prosecuted for allowing sale of copyright or counterfeit items.

  • Marche de l'etrange @ Doncaster Wool Market are on the first saturday of each month and are themed, in the spirit of the event, please only book for the relevant events for your handmade items, please ensure that a percentage of your items displayed are suitable for the theme of the event. 

  • Items for sale must be 80% handcrafted, 'bought in' items are allowed as long as they have been embellished, added to or upcycled.

  • All stall display stands and artwork must be safe and portable.

  • Offensive material should be not on main display areas and kept to a more appropriate area on the stall, be aware there will be children in attendance.

  • E=MC2 has the right to ask Exhibitors to remove any of their exhibits and to make alterations to their display if they are deemed unsuitable, create a hazard or for any other legitimate reason.

  • Failure by the Exhibitors to take remedial action on this last point may result in E=MC2 asking the Exhibitor to leave and to refuse admission without refund of fees and cancellation of future booking.

  • All artwork, stock and personal belongings are the responsibility of the Exhibitor

 

Venue

  • No sellotape, drawing pins, or fixings of any description are permitted on the paintwork or walls. Blutack ONLY is permitted. If in doubt, please ask a steward.

  • Electrical installations may only be used with prior agreement and may be subject to extra charge. 

  • We recommend that all electrical equipment be PAT certified for use, any items not PAT tested may not be used.

  • No naked flames are permitted in the building unless agreed in advance.

 

Booking procedure

  • Bookings are only accepted after an Application Form has been received and approved by the E=MC2 promoters.

  • Not all applications will be successful, as we need to have a good mix and quality of arts and crafts. E=MC2 reserves the right to refuse applications without having to justify its decision.

  • All bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis.

  • Bookings will only become effective when E=MC2 receives your payment.

  • Allocation of spaces at the venue is at the sole discretion of E=MC2.

  • Confirmation of your booking will be sent by email from the ticketing website.

  • Should the Artisan Market become over-subscribed, applications will be placed on a waiting list and Exhibitors informed no less than one week in advance of the fair if a cancellation has been received.

  • Receipts for payment of stall will be issued if required, please ask.

 

Stall arrangements

  • Please ensure you have booked a space big enough for your needs, if you need hanging rails or stands alongside your table, please book an extra space.

  • Spaces will be allocated as requested, if you are bringing your own table it must be safe and secure and no bigger than 6’ x 2’ - backing or side tables must be pre-arranged with the organisers.

  • Tables will be provided with two chairs for each table unless otherwise agreed.

  • Exhibitors may begin setting up from 8.00am and should have their stalls completed for public opening at 9.30am - as this is an open market we cannot stop the public coming into the venue, be aware you may get enquiries before you are fully set up.

  • Packing up of stalls is not permitted before 4.30pm and should be complete by 6.00pm, anyone clearing up before the allocated time will forfeit any future bookings.

  • Sharing of stalls is only allowed subject to all Exhibitors being approved to exhibit through the normal Expression of Interest procedure and agreed with the organiser.

 

Cancellations

  • If for whatever reason, the fair has to be cancelled by the organiser, or your stall is no longer available, a full refund will be made to you.

 

  • If you need to cancel your stall you will be subject to the Exhibitor Cancellation Policy:

  1. Cancellations must be received in writing to raychelmcguin@gmail.com

  2. No refund is possible if the cancellation is less than two weeks before the Market date. Notification of more than two weeks will receive a full refund less fees.

  3. Space cannot be re-let or swapped to another trader without prior approval from E=MC2

 

Insurance

  • E=MC2 provides public liability insurance to cover running of the event, but all Exhibitors must also take out their own insurance to cover public liability, loss or damage to their own goods and possessions.

  • E=MC2 will need to see a valid PLI Certificate - please ask for recommendations.

  • Exhibitors trading without valid personal PLI will accept full responsibility for any accidents howsoever caused and E=MC2 will not be liable for any claims

  • E=MC2 cannot be held responsible for injury or accident caused by an Exhibitor's product or exhibit, loss of profits, for damage or theft of Exhibitors’ stock or interruption of power or services

 

Loading and unloading​

  • Access to the building will be at 8.00am

  • There are various unloading points and the Wool Market team will show you where to park as the market is open, please be mindful that it is a market day. 

  • Traders vehicles need to be off site at 9:00am with a 4:30pm return.

  • There is short stay parking on site for drop off - there is a 2 hour limit which allows for unloading and setting up (ticket required) - please then move your vehicle to long stay parking is over the road at Chappell Drive East near the college for around £2.50 per day it is via a mobile app DN1 2RF - please note this is a short walk from the venue, please allow enough time to drop off your goods and park.

  • Those stopping directly outside the building to load and unload their vehicles do so at their own risk of theft or prosecution.
